Switch to Professional Account on Instagram for analytics and profile management.

Level: Basics

Turning your Instagram account into a “Professional Account” unlocks a world of analytics and tools that will help manage your profile.

–

Turn on Professional Account

1 – navigate to your profile page and press “Edit Profile”
2 – hit the link for “Switch to professional account”
3 – hit “continue” to move past the explanatory screens
4 – type in a category for your profile – “author” and “writer” are both options
5 – toggle on “Display on Profile” and hit confirm.

NB: turning on Professional Account will make your profile public.

6 – underneath your name the category selected will be visible
